SynesisLabs.aiSynesis Labs is a research-led intelligence company dedicated to turning complexity into strategic understanding and foresight.Synesis draws from the Greek σύνεσις, meaning understanding, discernment, intelligence, practical judgment, and the mental act of bringing things together. Its root sense is important: syn- means “together,” so the word implies more than isolated knowledge. P_success BETA

SynesisLabs.ai Terms of use & data-flow disclosure

⚠ Beta software. This Platform is a proof of concept provided for evaluation. It is not a hardened production system. Read section 2 carefully — it describes exactly what data leaves your browser, where it goes, and what is retained.

P_success Q&A Platform · Beta · Effective when you use the Platform

1. What this is

The P_success Q&A Platform is a beta decision-support tool from SynesisLabs.ai. It scores projects on a probability-of-success model. It gives you a structured way to think about risk. It is not financial-product advice (Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) s766B does not apply because no advice is given), not legal or investment advice, and not a substitute for due diligence or professional advice.

2. How it works, and what happens to your data

Your documents are read and their text extracted in your browser; the files themselves are never uploaded. When you click RUN, your question, extracted text and settings go over an encrypted connection to our server, which applies our model and passes the request to Anthropic using your own API key.

Your API key is used only to make that call. We never store it in our database or logs.

Your documents: not kept. Extracted document text is held only long enough to service your requests, then deleted from our servers.

Everything else you submit — your question and project description, chat messages, parameters, scenarios, benchmarks — and the outputs generated from them, is kept and used to calibrate and improve the Platform. It is never used to train any AI model, never sold, and never shared with anyone except Anthropic as needed to run your request. Access is limited to authorised SynesisLabs.ai staff.

Your choices. An opt-out slider sits next to the "Agree — I understand" button: switch it on and we retain nothing except your question (and the operational logs below). You can change it at any time; it applies to what you submit from then on. You can also email hello@synesislabs.ai to opt out, to ask what we hold, or to have your records deleted. During the beta, kept material has no automatic expiry; it is removed on request, on opt-out, or at our discretion. We also keep operational logs (request times, status, token counts, account ID). Your login identity is held by our authentication provider, Clerk. If you're not comfortable with this, don't submit the material.

3. Anthropic's terms also apply

The AI call runs on your Anthropic key, so your data's treatment there is governed by your agreement with Anthropic, not by us. Anthropic's commercial terms say API content is not used to train models and is deleted within 30 days, with exceptions (trust-and-safety flags, legal requirements). We don't control Anthropic and give no assurance about how it handles your material or whether its terms change. Read Anthropic's commercial terms, privacy policy and retention policy before configuring a key. If they don't suit your organisation, don't use the Platform. Anthropic is currently the only supported provider.

4. Confidentiality and sensitive material

We treat your inputs as confidential. But this is a beta proof of concept, not a certified production system. Do not upload defence-controlled material, regulated health information, restricted personal data, or material you're contractually barred from sharing. Ordinary business material under NDA is usually fine; for stricter requirements, arrange Zero Data Retention with Anthropic and a written data-processing agreement with us first.

5. Who is responsible for what

We are responsible for the Platform code, prompts, the server that proxies your requests, and following reasonable security practices. You are responsible for: your Anthropic relationship; having the right to submit whatever you upload; any approvals or permissions your material needs; your exported files; and the conclusions you draw from the outputs.

6. No warranty

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranty of any kind to the maximum extent the law allows — including no warranty that outputs are accurate, complete, current, or fit for any decision.

7. Limits on our liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or opportunity, business interruption, data loss, regulatory penalties, third-party service failures, or events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure). Our total liability for all claims is capped at the greater of the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months or AUD $100 (during the free beta, AUD $100). These limits do not apply to fraud, to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or to anything the law says can't be excluded — including your non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Your indemnity

You will cover us (including our officers, staff and partners) against claims and costs arising from your use of the Platform, your inputs, your breach of these terms or of anyone's rights, anyone's reliance on outputs you share, or your relationship with your AI provider.

9. Acceptable use

Don't use the Platform to break the law; infringe anyone's IP, privacy or confidentiality; develop or evaluate weapons; create content that harms minors or vulnerable people; deceive or defraud; or reverse-engineer, scrape or extract our methodology, equations, calibration constants or prompts to build a competing product. We may suspend or terminate access without notice for breach.

10. Outputs can be wrong — verify before you act

Outputs are model-generated estimates. They can contain errors, omissions, hallucinations and bias, and small input changes can move them materially. You accept all risk of acting on them, and you agree to verify independently and take professional advice before any material decision.

11. Our IP

The Platform — equations, calibration constants, prompts, parameter taxonomy, report templates — is SynesisLabs.ai's confidential intellectual property. Beta users get a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence for internal evaluation only. This obligation survives termination.

12. The legal mechanics

Claims must be brought within 12 months of arising, to the extent the law allows. We may suspend or end beta access at any time. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If any clause is unenforceable, the rest still stand. Sections on confidentiality, IP, liability, indemnity and governing law survive termination.
